IPL 2018: Rajasthan Thump Bangalore by 30 Runs to Keep Their Knockout Hopes Alive; Kohli & Co Crash Out

19:21(IST)
OUT: Tim Southee in trying to up the ante hits the ball into the hands of Gowtham at deep mid wicket. And with that Unadkat picks his first wicket of the innings and Rajasthan are now one wicket away from a big win.
19:18(IST)
Four: Southee seems to have not give up hope yet as he hits a boundary towards deep mid wicket to go into double figures. Southee and Siraj are doing there best to make a game out of this lost cause.
19:16(IST)
Jofra Archer has been very expensive today and he has been wicket-less as well and he won't be happy with his outing today - 3 overs 36/0. Bangalore need 44 off 18 deliveries to win the match and they have only two wickets left to go.
19:14(IST)
Rajasthan are on course of a big win in this clash and they will get to 14 points and not just that RR will also improve their run-rate drastically. And it might just help them sneak in the knockouts of the tournament.
19:09(IST)
OUT and OUT: Ben Laughlin is finishing off the tail very quickly as he gets rid of Sarfaraz and Umesh on back to back deliveries. First, Klaasen took a brilliant one hand catch to remove Sarfaraz and then he uprooted the wickets of Umesh. Bangalore are now eight down.
19:05(IST)
15 over have been bowled now and RCB's score reads 108/6. In five overs, Bangalore need to score 57 runs and they have only known batsman in Sarfraz Khan, and he has looked very shaky thus far.
19:01(IST)
Cricketnext’s IPL expert Aakash Chopra: Spin to Win for Rajasthan Royals. Good time for Sarfraz to show that retaining him was a master stroke by Royal Challengers Bangalore
19:00(IST)
Ish Sodhi bowls another excellent over as he gives away just four runs. Then spinners have done the trick for RR as all the six wickets have been picked by them. The likes of Archer and Unadkat have been very unimpressive so far on this wicket.
18:52(IST)
OUT: AB De Villiers is the latest victim of Shreyas Gopal's magnificent spin bowling as he is stumped by Klaasen for 53. After getting the wicket, Gopal put his hands around his face to say that even he couldn't believe that wicket. Bangalore are 6 down now.
18:48(IST)
OUT: Another one bites the dust as this time Ish Sodhi gets rid of compatriot Grandhomme. The right hander edges the ball into the hands of the Rahane who was fielding at first slip. Sarfaraz Khan comes to bat now for RCB.
18:47(IST)
Four and 50: AB De VIilliers crashes a Sodhi delivery towards mid wicket for a boundary and with that he completes his well-deserved fifty. However, even ABD knows that the job is only half done now.
18:42(IST)
OUT: Shreyas Gopal has picked his third wicket of the day as Mandeep Singh departs for 4. The right hander went for the expansive shot by coming down the ground but is stumped comprehensively after he missed the ball. Bangalore are four down now for 85.
18:40(IST)
Ish Sodhi keeps it tight and gives away just seven runs from the over. The onus is now on Ab De Villiers - who is batting on 42 - to anchor the innings. They need 81 off 60 deliveries to win the match.
18:35(IST)
OUT: Shreyas Gopal has done the trick for Rajasthan as he has now dismissed both Parthiv Patel and Moeen Ali in one over. Moeen hit the ball towards the keeper and it was an easy caught and bowled wicket for the spinner. RCB are three down now and in a spot of bother.
18:33(IST)
OUT: Shreyas Gopal has finally managed to break this partnership as he has gotten rid of Parthiv Patel for 33. Parthiv has been stumped by Klassen as Bangalore has lost their second wicket of the day.
18:30(IST)
Four and Four: AB De Villiers is now taking the attack to Ish Sodhi as he slams back to back boundaries off his bowling. First, he plays the reverse sweep and hits the ball for four towards third man. And then he plays the ball towards deep mid wicket for successive boundaries. RCB: 74/1 in 8 overs.
18:26(IST)
Shreyas Gopal comes into the attack and he gives away 8 runs from his first over of the innings. In 8 overs, RCB have now score 63/1 and for them to qualify in the playoffs today, they need to achieve the target in 15.5 overs.
18:20(IST)
Four and Four: Parthiv pulls an Unadkat delivery and it went towards Samson at square leg. He tried to take one-handed catch like Boult but the ball popped out of his hand and went for a boundary. Then Parthiv hit the ball through the covers for a four. RCB: 55/1 in 6 overs.
18:15(IST)
Four and Four: Laughlin comes into the attack and ABD welcomes him with a boundary straight down the ground. The South African comes dancing down the track and hits the ball over the down the ground for a boundary. Then on the last ball, Parthiv gets a four as the ball takes and outside edge and goes for a four behind the keeper. RCB 45/1 in 5 overs.
18:12(IST)
Four: AB De Villiers hits his second four of the innings after Archer once again bowled onto the body of the right hander. This time, he flicked the ball towards mid wicket for a boundary. RCB are back on track after Kohli's dismissal.
18:09(IST)
Four: Archer is conceding runs and that is not a good sign for RR. This time, he bowls a bit short onto the body of AB De Villiers and the right hander pulls the ball for a boundary towards square leg. ABD is on his way in the chase.
18:06(IST)
OUT: That is the wicket that Royals were hoping and spinner Gowtham has provided just that. Kohli came down the ground but missed the ball and it rattled the off stump. RCB have lost their first wicket and it is a big one.
18:04(IST)
SIX: Then on the last ball of the Archer over, Parthiv once again plays the upper cut to bring his second six of the over. The southpaw is dealing in sixes early on in the innings and is taking the attack to the RR bowlers.
18:00(IST)
SIX: Short delivery from Archer and Parthiv let the ball come to him and played the upper cut to perfection to hit the first six of the innings. Since coming into the side, Parthiv has done really well for RCB while opening the innings.
17:58(IST)
Excellent first over to start the proceedings from K Gowtham as he concedes just 2 singles. Virat Kohli, uncharacteristically, looked a bit nervy in the first over and he was beaten on the off side couple of times by the spinner. Jofra Archer to bowl the second over now.
17:53(IST)
While 165 may look like a small target against a high profile RCB batting line-up, on this wicket it is a more than par score. And with multiple spinners in their ranks, RR will definitely think they have a good score in this clash.
17:42(IST)
Innings Ends: Tripathi is run out on the last ball of the innings but he did the damage before that by hitting back to back sixes on the first two balls. Tripathi remains not out for 80 off 58 deliveries. Rahane hit 33 while Klassen slammed 32 off 21. Umesh was the pick of the bowlers for RCB as he ended with stunning figures of 3/25 in four overs.
17:40(IST)
SIX and SIX: K Gowtham is turning the match on its head as he slams back to back boundaries on the first two matches that he faces off the bowling of Southee. First he pulled the ball over the mid wicket region for a huge six. Then he hit the ball down the ground for back to back sixes. RR go past 160 now after this power-hitting.

17:37(IST)
OUT: Siraj finally gets his revenge after getting hits for two huge sixes as he gets rid of Klassen for 32 to pick his first wicket of the day. Gowtham comes onto the crease now as RR have now reached 149/4 in 19 overs.
17:34(IST)
SIX and SIX: Siraj bowls a yorker but Klaasen gets away from the wicket, opens the face of the bat and hits the ball over the third man fielder for a huge six. Then on the next ball, the right hander hits a huge six over square leg ropes with the help of a scoop shot.
17:31(IST)
After that economical over from Chahal, Southee follows it up with a good over of his own as he concedes just seven runs from it. Southee has now conceded just 22 runs in 3 overs. With 2 overs left to be played Tripathi and Klaasen will look to finish on a high.
17:25(IST)
Against the run of play, Yuzvendra Chahal bowls a good over as he concedes just five runs to keep the two batsmen quiet. In the last two overs, 20 runs were conceded but this Chahal over as stopped  the flow of runs. RR 129/3 in 17 overs.
17:19(IST)
Four and Four: Klaasen is now taking the attack to Siraj as he hits back to back boundaries off his bowling. The first one was lucky as the ball took an inside edge and went for a four behind the keeper. But the second one was majestic as the ball raced away to the cover region.
17:17(IST)
SIX: Wickets are falling on the other end but Tripathi keeps going on the other as this time he comes down the track to Moeen Ali and hits him for a huge six over mid on. 9 runs came from the over as Royals reach 113/3 in 15 overs.
17:14(IST)
Cricketnext’s IPL expert Aakash Chopra: RR has 6 bowlers that almost always guarantee 4 overs. Plus a few from Binny. If only they can reach 160. That’ll be Game On a pitch that’s offering some assistance to spinners.
17:11(IST)
Cricketnext’s IPL expert Aakash Chopra: Fifth time Umesh has picked two or more wickets in one over. Once he’s taken three in an over. He’s the biggest star of RCB this season.
17:10(IST)
DRS: Klaasen was given out by the on field umpire after Umesh's delivery had crashed into the batsman's pads. However, the South African used the DRS and replays showed that there was an inside edge and the decision is over turned. Umesh finishes is four overs with outstanding figures of 3/25 which included 12 dots.
17:06(IST)
OUT: Another one bites the dust as time Umesh gets the wicket of Sanju Samson. After getting out Rahane, Umesh removes Samson after the right hander hit the ball into the hands of Moeen Ali at short mid wicket. Third wicket of the innings for Umesh.
17:04(IST)
OUT: Umesh Yadav was re introduced into the attack and he has done the damage straight away as he has picked the wicket of Rahane for 33. Rahane was adjudged LBW after the ball pitched outside the off stump but hit him in front of the wickets. Royals have now lost their second wicket.
17:00(IST)
Four: The boundaries are now slowly and steadily starting to flow as Chahal produces a thick outside edge and it goes for a boundary behind the keeper off the bat of Rahane. Meanwhile, the Tripathi six in the last over was the first boundary in 18 ball.  100 comes up for Rajasthan in 13 overs.
16:57(IST)
50: Rahul Triparthi hits his first fifty of the season and his third fifty overall by running hard and taking a double. Then on the last ball of the De Grandhomme over, he comes down the track and hits the ball over the bowler's head for his second six of the innings.
16:52(IST)
Siraj gives away 6 runs from his over as he keeps his tight once again. In two overs, Siraj has given away just 9 runs and skipper Kohli will be happy with the exploits of his young pacer. In 11 overs, RR have score 80/1
16:50(IST)
De Grandhomme conceded 11 runs from his first over and Royals have now scored 74/1 in 10 overs. RCB need wickets soon as these two are batting very well at the moment. Siraj comes to bowl the 11th over now.
16:45(IST)
Colin de Granhomme is having a shocker of a first over as he has now bowled three wides in his first over of the innings. His body language is also not looking right and skipper Virat Kohli is furious on the deep mid wicket boundary ropes.
16:42(IST)
Four:  Siraj bowls a bit full and Tripathi hits the ball over the in-field for a boundary towards extra cover. Fourth boundary of the innings for Tripathi and he is looking in good nick today. Also, this is the first time that Tripathi has crossed the 30-run mark in IPL 2018
16:36(IST)
Tripathi takes a single off Siraj and with that, the 50-run partnership is up between him and Rahane. After that early Archer strike, Rajasthan have been scoring runs at a brisk pace. As for RCB they need to break this stand soon. This is the third 50+ 2nd wicket partnership for RR in IPL 2018.
16:32(IST)
50: Rahane and Tripathi have now put together 48 runs off 32 deliveries to help Rajasthan cross the 50-run mark in 7 overs. These two remain crucial in Rajasthan's hope of big score. Siraj comes into the attack now.
16:30(IST)
Since that early wicket of Jofra Acher, Rahul Tripathi and Ajinkya Rahane have batted really well and have stitched together a brilliant partnership. The duo have negated the effect of Umesh and Southee thus far.
16:25(IST)
Four and Four: Rahul Tripathi is now starting to cut loose as he slams back to back boundaries off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal. First, the right hander hit a brilliant inside out shot over extra cover and then hits a boundary towards deep mid wicket.

16:20(IST)
Four: Tim Southee comes into the attack to replace and Moeen Ali but he is welcomed by a Ajinkya Rahane boundary on the on side. The skipper is looking ever so good early on in his innings and the home side are scoring at a brisk pace.

16:15(IST)
Four and Four: Ajinkya Rahane is now taking the attack to Umesh Yadav as he slams couple of boundaries off the bowling of the pacer. First, the right hander cut the ball towards point and then he lobbed the ball over mid-on fielder for his second four of the innings.

16:11(IST)
SIX: After a slow start to the innings for Rajasthan, Rahul Tripathi gets into the act and slog sweeps the ball over the square leg boundary for a huge six off Moeen Ali. First six of the innings for the home side after a very nervy start. 10 runs came from Ali's first over.

16:08(IST)
OUT: The decision to send Jofra Archer up the order as failed miserably as Umesh Yadav has struck early once again and sends the right hander back into the pavilion. Archer goes for the pull but the ball touches his bat and keeper takes an easy catch. Archer goes for duck. Wicket maiden for Umesh.

16:03(IST)
Yuzvendra Chahal starts off with a brilliant first over as he gives away just two runs from his first over of the day. A couple of runs came from the first ball but Chahal followed it up with five dots. Good start to the innings for RCB.

16:01(IST)

B Stokes and J Buttler
J Buttler and A Rahane

15:59(IST)
Skipper Virat Kohli has brought his team into a huddle now and they are making their way into the middle. Kohli has issued a rallying cry for the team to sput them on for this big contest. Rahul Tripathi and Jofra Archer will open the innings for RR while Chahal has the new ball in his hands.

15:53(IST)
The onus will be Rajasthan openers to provide their team with a flying start in this clash. It is a do or die clash for both the sides as the loser will out of contention for a place in the final four. With minutes to go in the start of the match, both sets of players will be going through a lot.
