Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo could seal a stunning Manchester United return |
REAL MADRID star Cristiano Ronaldo is considering a stunning Manchester United return with Jose Mourinho angry, according to reports.
Real Madrid star Ronaldo left Manchester United back in 2009 after a glittering six year spell at Old Trafford.
Despite his departure, however, talk has always remained that he could be set to make a stunning return.
United have twice tried to re-sign the 33-year-old, in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
And Spanish website Diario Gol say Ronaldo is considering a shock Real Madrid exit, nine years after his departure from United.
That is reportedly because Jose Mourinho is far from happy at the club.
The Red Devils missed out on the FA Cup at the weekend with Chelsea beating them 1-0 at Wembley.
That means that United require a mass overhaul of their squad this summer, particularly given their turbulent Premier League campaign where they finished 19 points adrift of Manchester City.
Diario Gol report Ronaldo could return to the club because of Real’s reluctance to hand him a new contract.
The Portugal international is understood to be craving an extension that grants him pay parity with Lionel Messi and Neymar.
And if Real refuse to dance to his tune, a stunning United return could be on the cards.
Ronaldo is currently gearing up for his fourth Champions League final appearance in five years.

And, speaking ahead of Los Blancos’ showdown with Liverpool, Ronaldo admitted he would prefer to be facing United instead.
“Finals are always special occasions, I would have preferred it to be Manchester United,” Ronaldo said.
“But Liverpool deserve respect. We’re not going to have it easy. They deserve to be in the final.
“They remind me of Madrid three or four years ago. Their three front players, they’re very quick… they are powerful in attack and I respect them.
“But Madrid are better. We have to play to our level, but we also have to respect the opposition.”
